Meet the Team

Emily Partridge
Emily Partridge
School Counsellor

I was born in England, but have grown up in South Africa from the age of 5. I have been living and working in Dubai for 3 years. I am passionate about supporting the emotional and social wellbeing of young people. I am a trained Social Worker, with a focus on Psychology and was based in the Social Work field for 4 years before starting my school counselling career 7 years ago. I discovered that counselling is where I am meant to be, that it is where my strengths lie. My Social Work background enables me to have a holistic approach as a School Counsellor, focusing not only on the individual and the obstacles they are facing, but all the different spaces they are in that have an impact them, so working with teachers and parents is important to me. I have been at Kent College Dubai for a year and I am so grateful and proud to be part of this community. I am currently furthering my tertiary education, undertaking a PGdip in Public Mental Health. I love reading & writing and I am in my element when I am outdoors in nature... camping, hiking, playing soccer, running by the beach or in the mountains, and I love singing.

Wellbeing Champion

I come from Greece but I leave in Dubai the last 14 years and I have been working in Kent for 6 years years. As a dedicated Wellbeing Champion at Kent College, I am passionate about fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for students and staff alike. My role involves promoting mental health awareness, implementing wellbeing initiatives, and providing a listening ear to those in need. By collaborating with school counselors, parents, and the wider community, I strive to create a positive atmosphere where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. I am extremely passionate in exploring a child's psychological world, so I have commenced my journey to obtain my Master in Educational Psychology.

Referral Process

  • Parent Consent Form
  • Counselling process: not always a linear process

If your child is receiving external therapeutic support, they would not have ongoing support from us – as it can affect the process
When we reach our goals and finish sessions with a student, it’s something to celebrate.
