KCD Inclusion

The KCD Inclusion Team is committed to facilitating the academic success of all students. Through a range of carefully designed interventions spanning literacy, numeracy, motor & social skills, emotional regulation and essential life skills, we aim to provide comprehensive support to the KCD community. Our services are tailored to address all learning styles, including those of our SEND, ELL
and Gifted & Talented students.

Our Achievement Centre (ACe) at KCD, is the cornerstone of our commitment to inclusive education. ACe, housing our dedicated inclusion team, serves as a dynamic space supporting various student groups across the school. Our holistic approach ensures that ACe not only focuses on academic success but also actively promotes the overall well-being of every student, fostering a supportive environment that caters to diverse learning styles and requirements. We are dedicated to creating a space where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our Rising Stars Programme at KCD, is a bespoke programme dedicated to providing a personalised and holistic educational experience for students. Our unique programme is carefully crafted to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring a well-rounded approach to learning.

In addition to traditional academics, our programme includes life skills classes that equip students with practical knowledge essential for daily life and a variety of engaging educational trips offer immersive learning experiences. By offering hands-on experiences, we aim to prepare students for the challenges they may encounter in their future careers, instilling confidence and a sense of purpose.

Recognising that every student learns differently, our programme provides additional academic support tailored to individual needs. Whether through personalised mentoring, targeted interventions, or modified assessments, we are committed to creating an environment where each student can thrive academically.

We also collaborate with a number of outside agencies such as Insights Psychology, Kidsfirst and Widad Dubai to ensure we are supporting and facilitating therapies and assessments such as Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language, ABA and external assessment form a range of visiting therapists.

Elevate Programme

Welcome to Kent College Dubai’s Elevate programme, a bespoke initiative that recognises and nurtures the extraordinary potential of our students. By meticulously analysing Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) data and incorporating valuable insights from our dedicated staff, we identify individuals who exemplify exceptional aptitude and talent.

Elevate offers a three-tiered approach to provision, ensuring that our gifted and talented students receive the support and opportunities they need to flourish. The first tier encompasses in-lesson provision, where students experience an enriched and challenging curriculum within their regular classroom settings, promoting academic excellence.

Complementing in-lesson provision, Elevate extends to Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) specially curated to further develop and showcase the diverse talents and interests of our students. These activities serve as a platform for exploration and excellence beyond the standard curriculum, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.

For those seeking an even greater challenge, our third tier of provision within Elevate opens doors to competitions, sports tours, and specialised events. This tier is designed to propel students beyond the confines of routine, allowing them to shine on broader platforms and gain valuable experiences that transcend traditional learning.

Our school has recently joined the NACE (National Association for Able Children in Education) Gifted and Talented Network, a dynamic community committed to advancing educational opportunities for high-ability learners. This collaboration empowers our educators with valuable resources and strategies to foster challenge and engagement in the classroom, ensuring an enriching experience for all students. By aligning with NACE, we are dedicated to enhancing our provision, promoting inclusive excellence, and nurturing the unique potential within every student.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

At Kent College Dubai, we take pride in fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, recognizing the importance of supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Our dedicated team of teachers is committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of their language background, receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially. Through personalized instruction, tailored resources, and differentiated learning strategies, our educators work collaboratively to address the unique needs of EAL students.

Furthermore, our school promotes a culture of respect and understanding, where students feel encouraged to express themselves in their native language while developing proficiency in English. Our aim is to empower EAL students to navigate their educational journey with confidence, equipping them with the language skills essential for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

We have a wonderful partnership with Eton Institute, a renowned English speaking school in Dubai. They are supporting our English language learners to build proficiency in English as part of one of our many Extra Curricular Activities.
