English as an Additional Language (EAL) at Kent College Dubai.

At Kent College Dubai, we recognise the diverse linguistic backgrounds of our students and provide tailored support to help non-native English speakers thrive. Our EAL programme offers structured guidance to students who are learning English as an additional language, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and participate in all aspects of school life.

Students are assessed on their English proficiency using the Bell Foundation Levels of Proficiency, ranging from ‘New to English’ to ‘Fluent’. Based on these assessments, students receive either in-class support or targeted interventions, focusing on developing their language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our EAL specialists work closely with class teachers to ensure that vocabulary and curriculum content are accessible to all learners, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
